For our latest project, we headed north – more precisely to Brunsbüttel – and this time it wasn’t a typical shoot, but a day full of encounters, hands-on experiences, and future plans. The local construction company had opened its doors for an open day, and secondary school students took the opportunity to try out their skills at various stations.
Whether drilling, sawing, measuring, or assembling – everywhere there was activity, laughter, and experimentation. The professionals on site explained patiently, offered tips, and shared stories from their own working lives. For many of the students, it was their first chance to get so close to the tools and machines they usually only know in theory.
For us as the production team, it was a lively shooting day: the mix of curious questions, focused work, and proud smiles when something succeeded made every shot authentic. The open, welcoming atmosphere and the collaboration between professionals and students clearly showed how important experiences like these are for future career choices.
On this day, Brunsbüttel revealed itself not only as a hub of major industry, but as a place where the future becomes tangible – and we were right there in the middle of it, capturing those special moments.
